A new episode of genNEXT@Home
has arrived!
This month, in honor of Computer Science Education Week, we'll be virtually participating in the Hour of Code. Held annually, the Hour of Code is a global event that seeks to introduce students to computer science and broaden participation in this career field overall. Designed by Code.org to celebrate and elevate coding awareness, students of all ages are invited to code for one hour by selecting an activity from hundreds of fun, entertaining tutorials available on their website.
In this second genNEXT@Home episode, our Social Media Coordinator Bree Boyer walks students through a fully-virtual Hour of Code session. From web navigation to game selection to full-on coding, viewers will learn how to participate independently in this year’s Hour of Code. Watch the full episode here:
Once you’ve completed your very own Hour of Code, share your experience with us using the hashtag #24genNEXT for a chance to be featured.
Reminder: the activities on Code.org/learn are available to play year-round—so you can enjoy an Hour of Code anytime. Until our next episode, happy coding!
